A double responsibility

Preem has a double responsibility in many respects. Society needs our products, and at the same time we must make sure that they are produced in an environmentally and ethically sustainable way. Sustainable both globally and locally, for society and for the individual. A responsibility that reaches all the way from feedstock, production and transport to the use of the products in vehicles, industry and energy facilities.

Now we can get it right from the start

As we gradually increase the proportion of renewable components in our fuels, in accordance with Sweden’s ambitions to be a role model, we do so methodically and with critical eyes. If we get it right here, we have the opportunity to contribute towards enhanced welfare and a sustainable society for many.

The future is our most important market

That’s what we had in mind when we developed green diesel and alkylate gasoline, and blended rapeseed oil into diesel in the early 1990s, and that’s what we have in mind now that work on the transition is in full swing: the task of upgrading all heating oil for transport fuels and developing methods of replacing crude oil with renewable feedstocks at our refineries.

Partnerships between companies, researchers, authorities and organizations give us all broader expertise and pave the way for new opportunities. Together we think further, broader and faster. Together we can realize changes more effectively.
